PASSER-LARS are pleased to announce the successful completion of mobilisation and commissioning of a flexlay spread onto EMAS Chiyoda Subsea’s world-class multi-lay vessel Lewek Constellation for flexible risers installation.
The lay equipment comprises PASSER-LARS’ new-build loading tower complete with tensioner, a 26m basket carousel provided by a joint venture partner plus various project-specific components.
The equipment was lifted from a transportation barge by and onto Lewek Constellation in port of Rotterdam, after a river transport from the carousel & loading tower assembly yard. The spread will now be used for spooling the flexible products in Kalundborg, Denmark, before installation offshore Ghana in late June.
“This mobilisation marks a significant step forward for PASSER-LARS. It is a proud moment for us to deliver the new-build equipment to our client on time. Several unique design features and deck integration solutions also contributed to a safe and efficient mobilisation. With our new equipment now deployed in the field, we look forward to operational feedback, with our goal to ever optimise our installation equipment fleet.”
