PASSER-LARS 2000Te Carousel en-route to China for Aker Solutions Lingshui Umbilicals Installation

PASSER-LARS have successfully mobilised a 2000Te installation carousel spread for Aker Solutions. The equipment is currently under transit to Shenzen, China, ahead of infield installation operations of static and dynamic umbilicals for the CNOOC Lingshui Project, whereby Aker Solutions hold the EPC Contract for the umbilical products.

Responsible for the mobilisation, transportation, installation vessel equipment integration, and equipment technicians in field, PASSER-LARS executed a rapid turnaround operation to prepare the equipment for departure from The Netherlands within a two week period from contract award. Project specific modifications to the carousel were required, with all engineering and project management performed in house.

In addition to the equipment supply, PASSER-LARS have been awarded a separate contract from Aker Solutions to provide a full personnel team and project engineering support for transpooling operations of the umbilicals from transport to installation vessel, in Shenzen, China.

This project marks the first instance of PASSER-LARS delivering installation equipment and personnel to the Far East Region, and upon completion of this project there is potential the carousel can remain in region to support clients on other Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind prospects.
