PASSER-LARS were awarded a contract for onshore storage of HVAC Offshore Wind Export Cable for the Norther Offshore Windfarm in Belgian North Sea Sector.

The newly completed PASSER-LARS Storage & Spooling Yard and 4750Te capacity Basket Carousel combined with Loading Tower provided the optimum combination for the client’s requirement for cable storage and spooling capacity.

Detailed engineering

Several specific design features were utilised to allow for an efficient equipment mobilisation and commissioning period, and to ensure product integrity:
Modular tower structure with unique design moveable by SPMT allowed for prompt assembly of main component parts on-site
Low profile, high storage capacity onshore basket carousel, designed, fabricated and commissioned in short timescale prior to spooling operations
